Bankers Hill demolition of the old medical center on 6th Avenue and Palm St is showing some progress. The site will be the home to the 13-story The Park Bankers Hill Condominium complex.
Developer Zephyr Partners expects to start construction in June 2015 with completion by early 2017. The anticipated 60-unit luxury mid-rise building will showcase large an open layouts ranging from 1,600 to 4,200 square feet.
Located across the street from Balboa Park, the condo complex will offer views to the San Diego Bay and mountains.
This is what’s left of the 55-year old medical center. The demolition crew is taking its time, they might be dealing with asbestos, something common with buildings of this age.
